Lunus (“we”, “us”) operates Lunus at lunus.luenix.com and the application at lunus-erp.luenix.com. This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit our sites or use the product.

• School records — student, parent, fee, attendance, results, and inventory data entered by your school.
• Messages — content sent through chat or WhatsApp integrations to operate the service.
• Technical data — IP address, device/browser info, and basic usage logs for security and reliability.

3. Why we process it

We process data to:

• Provide and secure the Lunus service
• Respond to support and “Talk to us” enquiries
• Improve product performance and reliability
• Meet legal and accounting obligations

4. School as controller

For student and parent records inside a school tenant, the school is typically the data controller. Lunus acts as a processor / service provider on the school’s instructions. Schools must have a lawful basis (including consent where required) for collecting and sharing that data with Lunus.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with infrastructure and messaging providers (e.g. hosting, WhatsApp Business API partners) solely to run Lunus, under appropriate safeguards. We may disclose data if required by law.

6. Retention

We retain account and school data while the school’s subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, disputes, and legal requirements, unless a written deletion schedule applies.

7. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of school data, including access controls and encrypted transport. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

8. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your personal data. Parents and students should usually start with their school. You may also contact us at hello@lunus.luenix.com.

9. Children

Lunus is provided to schools. Student data is processed under the school’s authority. We do not knowingly market directly to children.

10. International transfers

Data may be processed in countries other than where it was collected. Where required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards.

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
